Wide Eyed Boy – LPL
12th March 2020 - 7:30 pm - 11:00 pm

Wide Eyed Boy plus guests Clear Vinyl + Bandit + Sam Jones
Fresh from touring the UK with Feeder and The Libertines, Liverpool’s Wide Eyed Boy are gearing up to release their new single Calling (I Hear You). Thousands of fans across the UK have seen the band perform the track live at prestigious music venues including Alexandra Palace and Brixton Academy. Music critics and radio have likened the band to The Killers, a testimonial which is strongly supported by lead singer Oli’s phenomenal vocal range. The band’s gritty and gloriously anthemic songs show they are the hot ones to watch for the coming months and into 2020.
Two parts British, one-part German, and one part Australian, Wide Eyed Boy consist of an eclectic mix of musicians -. Oliver Nagy (Vocals), Jonny Ball (Guitars), Kobe Pham (Guitars) and Tom Taylor (Drums) They originally met at Paul McCartney’s LIPA, the institution that has carved itself out as THE hotbed for new international talent. Bonding over a shared love of music, Bowie and Liverpool greats The Zutons and (fellow LIPA graduates) The Wombats.
The band honed their early sound with Coldplay’s producer Ken Nelson before recording their debut long player with Rich Turvey (Blossoms).
