Ste and Cerys invite y’all to a very special hometown hoedown at Jimmy’s where they will burn through the Le Emu Tavern songbook new and old. Soaring anthems of social justice, love, antifascism and dogs “delivered in a pseudo, almost cheerful manner, irrespective of subject matter” (Scootering Magazine).

Gary Reddin at Mersey Radio described their latest single ‘The Master Race Made a Big Mistake (When They Came to Our Town)’ as a “brilliant, brilliant tune” and there will be plenty more where that came from among the new songs at this Le Emu Tavern’s first Liverpool show since Lockdown.
Bristol’s Karen are post-punk in attitude where spontaneity rules: think Velvets or Big Star. Outliers of the indie music scene the band is made up of Davey Woodward (The Brilliant Corners), Hugo Morgan (Loop) and Tom Adams (Beatnik Filmstars & The Total Rejection). With a debut album locked in a vault for legal reasons, come on down and see what all the fuss is about. If you like crunching rhythms, distorted guitars and choons you will love Karen.
Arrest! Charlie Tipper play independent minded music, often with a political twist. Sometimes fast and noisy, sometimes quiet and reflective. Comparisons have ranged from Luna to The Wedding Present, Belle and Sebastian to The Pixies. All of this is reflected on their latest album “Red”, which was released on up-and-coming Greek label Old Bad Habits in 2020. The album sleeve was designed by Liverpool’s own Ian Jackson, one time member of Half Man, Half Biscuit, who is a big fan.
Hailing from Bristol, A!CT will be in Liverpool touring “Adventures in Wonderland”; a double album, recorded entirely in lockdown in 2020. Tasters can be heard on the recent singles “Five Aces”, a rollicking tribute to the Fall written shortly after the death of singer Mark E Smith, and “Trust Me”, their first release for the Shambotic label.

Please note that Jimmy's Liverpool is strictly 18+. Anyone underage will not be granted entry. We strongly advise customers to bring ID as we enforce a 'Challenge 25' policy. No refunds will be issued to underage ticket holders.
