Finally, the Funk The groove has come back to the great city of Liverpool!!.

Making their debut in the city once dubbed “The Pool of life”, Manchester’s own NGUVU will join forces with Jimmy’s Liverpool to bring you a night of Funk, Soul, Dance and every little groove thing in-between.

Joining them will be fellow city band Liquid Beach, an exciting up and coming electronic trio, that mixes classic Dance, Trance and Funk into one ambient, extraordinary package.

If you love your Funk and Soul, or just love music you want to dance to, you DO NOT want to miss this night.

About NGUVU

NGUVU are a 7-Piece Mancunian Jazz-Soul Fusion that embodies elements of Funk, Rock and Hip-Hop. The band was founded and led by Drummer, MC and composer Jamal Lewis-Service. Their sound is very reminiscent of (but not limited to) the Street-Soul Sound of 1980s Moss Side Manchester, with influences from the late great Diane Charlemagne, Brand New Heavies, and Rufus, a sound that is rarely heard of in modern Manchester Music. A mixture of The Old school Funk with the Modernity of Neo-Soul with a pinch of Rock edge would be the best way to describe their sound.

About Liquid Beach 

From the shore to the streets, Liquid Beach is a project born from a shared love of all things that groove. The production trio from Manchester honed their craft of carefully blended jazz, soul and house through the vibrant and diverse scene of the northern city. Calling upon their diverse influences they aim to seamlessly blend the lines between live instrumentation and electronic production. Songs that sound just as at home on sandy beaches as they do in the darkest of night clubs.
