The Lags are a 4 piece Rock n Roll outfit from Liverpool that have a perfect combination of Scouse catchy guitar songs with a Manchester influence. The drummers tight Ste Morris-esque fills compliment the bass as they lock together with the two guitarists who produce some technical John Squire-esque sounds. Reminiscent of bands such as The La’s, The Stone Roses, The Kinks and The Who hence the 60’s vibe in the tunes and well crafted clever lyrics.
Mason Owens is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Liverpool. His music is unique and hard to define. Citing artists such as John Martyn, Sublime, Shack, Pink Floyd and The Beatles amongst his many influences, he lends from a myriad of sources to create his own distinct, guitar laden sound. His lyrics often infuse humour and the surreal, to convey his candid subject matter.
The High Rip: Named after the most notorious street gang ‘The High Rip’ formed in 2017. Early gigs and rehearsal rooms located in that gang’s old stomping ground and the synchronicity was unavoidable. United by their shared love of post punk and new wave artists, their songs combine the high drama of Joy Division and the pop sensibility of XTC.
LYLA… an up and coming local singer/songwriter who takes influence from Old School 00’s. Influenced by a flavour bands such as The Cranberries, Fleetwood Mac and singers like Alanis Morrisette. Her unique work has already been spotted top industry producers and she has gained an influential reputation on the local Liverpool circuit with her own distinct sound and interpretation of a wide genre of music.
